Is never a waste...

Three topics I'd like to see on the curriculum:

Corporate history The 'hidden history' of the rise of the corporation as an entity that affects all of our lives today.

Historical ecology The study of the "two-way relationship between humans and their living environments".

Network theory Looking at the complex networks that run through our lives, from the micro to macro levels.

Sadly we are the victims of all the wrong-headed ways of thinking our 19th century education system bestows on us and shows no signs of changing. The limits of thinking seem to be reducing the size of schools so pupils are no longer so anonymous. I guess you can't teach curiosity, but I've never seen a child who wasn't born curious. It just needs cultivating and the beautifully complex and inquisitive human mind will do the rest, never falling prey to boredom. Instead it gets beaten into submission from an early age before it is adequately developed to defend itself. At least some people dare to dream and are very much worth supporting.
